Breakfast Smoothie

Thanks to inspiration from Tony Gonzalez and his ‘Protein Smoothie’- We’ve come up with our own version that we really like!  We’re still in the process of coming up with an amount that only makes two glasses instead of 3- but once I start adding- it just keeps creating more and more. 🙂

Ingredients:

  • Use whatever frozen fruit you want.  We really like:
    • 1/2 Cup Blueberries
    • 1/2 Cup Strawberries
    • 1/2 Cup Blackberries
    • 1/2 Cup Cherry Fruit Medley
    • 1 Pre-Sliced & Frozen Banana
  • 1/2 Cup Spinach
  • 1 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
  • 1 Cup Super Fruit Juice (O’walla Brand)
  • 1 pckg of Acai Berry Smoothie Mix (We got ours at whole foods- frozen section- and stick it in the fridge so it mixes well)
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Juice
  • 4 Tablespoons of Hemp Protein Powder

Method:

We tried the blender- but with all of that frozen fruit the blender… well.. froze.  So we use the food processor works best.  Just mix it all in- and add more liquid to get the consistency you like.

Reviews:

Rick– 10 out of 10

Kassie– 10 out of 10 – easy breakfast that fills you up and is good for you
